| It
took nine years as a professional in the
field of entertainment television to reach
the conclusion that his life had to take
a U-turn.
"In our time
still photography has this amazing built-in
mechanism, that people are forced to look
longer at the image because it doesn't switch
instantly. It's slow storytelling. If the
result is good, I know people will get more
out photo stories anytime, because it asks
the reader to start reflecting", says
the Danish-born photographer, who initiated
a long term book project on Japanese Sumo
Culture. He will return to Japan in 2008
to continue his work.
