Gordon Welters is a photojournalist currently based in Berlin, Germany. Gordon was born in 1974 in East Germany. Since 1998 he has been working as a freelance editorial and reportage photographer. He has been published in GEO, Stern, Stern.de, Der Spiegel, Focus, Chrismon plus, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Die Zeit, Financial Times Deutschland, Handelsblatt/ Perspektiven, Handelsblatt/ Junge Karriere, taz, Newsweek, de Volkskrant, The Times 2, The Sunday Telegraph, Money Week, Dagens Næringsliv and The Fader F2 Magazin. Pictures stories have taken him to Russia, Kazachstan, Indonesia, Cuba and around Europe. He has worked also for clients like KPMG, Deutsche Post or Tchibo and Non Government Organisations (NGOs) like Christian Aid and Attac. Gordon organized photo workshops and was a jury member of various photo awards in Germany and the United States. From 2000 until 2003 he was a member of Journalistenbüro Spot. In 2003/2004 Gordon studied photojournalism at the London College of Communication. Since 2006 he is represented by Laif.
