Hanoi – streets can be a home too

Her name is Mui. She is a practicing Buddhist and lives with her five-year-old son in Hanoi. They haven't got a roof over their heads. They own absolutely nothing. The only thing they do have is their love for each other. Mui's care for her son knows no boundaries. She always manages to find him something to eat, even if it is only grains of rice from the street. She bathes and washes Pha in the Red River and plays with him on the river bank. She talks to him and prays with him without pause. Justin Maxon, photographer from San Francisco, had the feeling that he met two happy people in Vietnam.
