Johan Bävman, Schweden

Wovon auch moderne Männer meist nur reden, aber ungern ihren Worten Taten folgen lassen: In Schweden ist es mehr als anderswo Wirklichkeit geworden. Hier animieren Gesetze und Bonuszahlungen junge Männer dazu, sich um Hausarbeit und Kleinkinderziehung zu kümmern. Allerdings: Nur 14 Prozent der schwedischen Elternpaare teilen sich die 480 subventionierten Tage nach der Geburt eines Kindes schon im Verhältnis 50 zu 50.

Der Fotograf Johan Bävman hat den Alltag jener Männer begleitet, die sich für einen mindestens sechsmonatigen Ausstieg aus der Erwerbsarbeit entschieden haben – mit dem Ziel, wie Bävman sagt, mehr Väter zu animieren, gemeinsam ihre Babys zu Hause zu begleiten. Und man sieht: Es geht doch!
