Festveranstaltung zum Tag der Vereinten Nationen 2020 mit Preisverleihung des Lokale Agenda Wettbewerbs

am Dienstag, den 13. Oktober 2020, um 18 Uhr, im Plenarsaal des Neuen Rathauses, Rathausplatz 1, 01067 Dresden Bitte benutzen Sie den Einlass Goldene Pforte. Der Einlass beginnt um 17 Uhr.

Dieses Jahr steht das Thema „Biologische Vielfalt“ im Fokus unserer Festveranstaltung. Herr Prof. Dr. Josef Settele, Helmholtz Zentrum für Umweltforschung (UFZ) und Experte beim Weltrat für Biologische Vielfalt (IPBES), wird zum Thema „Biodiversität und Ökosysteme - globale Entwicklungen und Optionen für die Zukunft" berichten. Im Anschluss wird er gemeinsam mit Frau Bürgermeisterin Eva Jähnigen und Frau Professorin Edeltraud Günther über Lösungsansätze diskutieren.

Besondere Aktion für Schulen

In diesem Jahr haben wir zusammen mit der Ortsgruppe des BUND eine Thementour durch unsere Stadt zum Thema Biologische Vielfalt entwickelt. Die ca. 2-stündige Tour für 5. bis 8. Klassen kann von den Klassen selbstständig durchgeführt werden und führt zu verschiedenen Stationen im Stadtgebiet, an denen Wissenswertes vermittelt wird, Rätsel gelöst werden müssen und Ideen für das eigene Aktiv-werden mit auf den Weg gegeben werden. Interessierte Schulen und Lehrer melden sich bitte direkt über info@dresden.unicef.de (Betreff: "Thementour: Bilogische Vielfalt").

Aufgrund der Hygiene- und Abstandsbestimmungen ist die Anzahl der Teilnehmenden in diesem Jahr auf 60 Personen beschränkt. Wir bitten Sie daher um eine verbindliche und zuverlässige Anmeldung, um die geringen Platzkapazitäten vollständig nutzen zu können.

CELEBRATING UN DAY


The Mayor of the City of Dresden represented by the Deputy Mayor for Environment and Municipal Utilities Ms Eva Jähnigen and the Director of UNU-FLORES Prof Dr Edeltraud Guenther cordially invite you to the

United Nations Day Dresden 2020 Commemorative Event and the Award Ceremony for the Lokale Agenda Contest

on Tuesday, 13 October 2020 at 6:00 PM in the Plenary Hall of the Dresden New Town Hall, Rathausplatz 1, 01067 Dresden. Please use the Golden Gate Admission, Rathausplatz. Doors open at 5:00 PM.

As the UN Decade on Biodiversity draws to an end, this topic will be our focus for this year’s UN Day. Prof Dr Josef Settele, Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ) and IPBES Co-Chair of “The Global Assessment Report 2017”, will report on “Biodiversity and Ecosystems – global developments and options for the future”.

Afterwards, he will join a panel discussion with Deputy Mayor Eva Jähnigen and Prof Edeltraud Guenther focusing on potential solutions.

SPECIAL CAMPAIGN FOR SCHOOLS

This year we developed a theme tour through our city on the topic of biological diversity together with the local branch of BUND. The approximately 2-hour tour for 5th to 8th grade classes can be carried out independently by the classes and leads to various places in the city area, where interesting facts are conveyed, puzzles have to be solved and ideas for becoming active are given. Interested schools and teachers should contact info@dresden.unicef.de (subject: "Theme tour: Bilogical diversity")

PLEASE NOTE

Due to the Hygiene- and Social distancing requirements, we have to limit this year’s participant numbers to 60 people. Therefore, we would kindly request a binding and reliable registration to allow maximum usage of limited capacities.
